Dr. Carla J. Cooke is affectionately known as a “quiet storm” and received the 2024 Voice of Inspiration award from T. D. Jakes Enterprises Good Soil Headquarters. This New Jersey resident is a global leader, entrepreneur, author, and trusted voice in the field of psychology. Dr. Cooke serves as an expert witness in legal matters of workplace discrimination, sexual assault, child welfare, and personal injury cases. She has been entrusted to present internationally and nationally on the need for trauma-informed psychological evaluations including strategies to address misdiagnosis and misaligned recommendations for children and adults in systems overrepresented by communities of color and other vulnerable populations.
As the CEO of Pivotal Shifts LLC, Dr. Cooke is charged with empowering faith-based entrepreneurs to take care of the business of self to be more successful in business and life by practicing mental wealthness® principles. She established the Business of You® Incubator which is a place where faith-based entrepreneurs are nurtured, restored, and ignited. Dr. Cooke possesses a unique ability to discern, unearth and transform internal barriers that hinder high achievers from operating at peak performance. Her background and expertise make her uniquely positioned to partner with entrepreneurs and business owners who understand the value of being whole.
Dr. Cooke provides thought leadership around the integration of faith and mental health, is the coordinator of the mental health ministry at her church and serves on the ministerial staff. She serves as a consultant, speaker and workshop presenter for organizations and faith-based communities with the vision to provide a purposeful psychological and spiritual shift for their members. Dr. Cooke loves God, enjoys gardening, and values authentic relationships.
